Researchers determined that geese, as they fly together, are very closely attuned. The geese, by flying in a formation, travel over 71% greater distance in working together toward a common goal than if they were to move separately.
As the head goose moves forward in his flock and becomes tired, he drops and falls behind, allowing someone else to take the lead, and lead the whole toward their greater goal.
Through experience and observation, every time within a flock if any one goose is injured and/or chooses to fall out of the formation, always always always, that goose is accompanied by at LEAST two others that will follow him to the ground until he recovers or dies.
The metaphor - we’re all a flock moving toward a common goal. Everyone learns and understands at different levels, but we’re all moving toward the same place; part of this process.
